- You can help us make a difference for those men and women who have so selflessly served to protect our nation and our freedom;
- Public Law 106-50 designates that 3 percent of every agency’s total procurement dollars be awarded to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses each year;
- Public Law 108-183, a follow-on law to 106-50, enacted in 2003, provided the “green light” to establishing a set-aside program to contract with SDVOSBs;
- Interior has a 56.1 percent goal for small businesses and a mandated 3 percent goal for SDVOSBs;
- The Census Bureau data indicates that there are 4.2 veteran-owned small businesses and 320,000 SDVOSBs;
- In September 2006 our agency received an award as one of the top ten federal agencies for SDVOSBs;
- As part of Strategic Sourcing, Blanket Purchasing Agreements have been awarded to small businesses who have partnered with SDVOSBs. Therefore, every time you use your purchase card to buy office products using the BPA, you are helping Interior achieve its goal;
- If you are a program manager, consider SDVOSBs first.
