Lt. Ronald Robinson Retires from U.S. Park Police

Lt. Ronald Robinson, a U.S. Air Force veteran, retires from the U.S. Park Police with 33 years of government service.

Lt. Ronald Robinson retired from the U.S. Park Police after 22 years and 8 months of service.  Robinson began his career on August 4, 1985, attending the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Ga.  Upon graduation, he accepted an assignment with the U.S. Park Police's Central District, patrolling the National Mall. An officer until 1998, he held assignments on the plainclothes unit in the Central District, in SWAT and as a detective in Criminal Investigations.

In November 1998, the U.S. Park Police promoted Robinson to sergeant and assigned him to be a supervisor on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.  Robinson then made his way back to Criminal Investigations as a detective sergeant, where he investigated many of the U.S. Park Police’s most serious incidents. In August 2006, U.S. Park Police promoted Robinson to lieutenant and assigned him to the Shift Commander’s Office. His final assignment was with the Training Branch as the commander of Firearms/Physical Skills. 

Robinson, a U.S. Air Force veteran, retired on April 12, 2008, after 33 years of Government service.  He plans more family and travel time.
