Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne and Deputy Secretary Lynn Scarlett honored three Bureau of Reclamation executives at a ceremony at Interior headquarters in Washington, D.C., in May.

Kirk C. Rodgers, Mid-Pacific regional director, was among a small group of career senior executives recognized with the 2006 President’s Rank Award. The award from the president recognizes “strong leaders, professionals, and scientists who achieve results and consistently demonstrate strength, integrity, industry, and a relentless commitment to excellence in public service.”

Kempthorne recognized Roseann Gonzales, director, Program and Policy Services, and William E. Rinne (retired), deputy commissioner of Operations and acting commissioner, with the Secretary’s Gold Executive Leadership Award for their superior performance and excellence in leadership.
